Print Postnet / Intelligent Mail Barcode on A/R Statements?

This option applies to laser statements only.

(ID# 8109) This A/R option in Options Configuration allows you to specify if the Postnet or Intelligent Mail barcode prints on your laser A/R statements, and in what format. Postnet and Intelligent Mail barcodes help reduce your postage costs. Note that the Postnet Barcode system is being discontinued in May 2011.

Check with your local USPS office for information on how to obtain delivery point or intelligent mail barcode values. Third party mail companies also provide delivery point data for a fee.

If you set this option to D or J, you must enter the delivery point code in the DP field on the main tab of Customer Maintenance, to the right of Zip Code.

N = do not print the Postnet or Intelligent Mail barcodes on any A/R statement.

Y =  print the Postnet bardcode on each A/R statement using the 9-digit zip code (no delivery point code).  

D = print the Postnet barcode on each A/R statement using the 9-digit zip code and 2-digit delivery point code.  Enter the delivery point code in the “DP” field on the main tab of Customer Maintenance – to the right of the Zip Code.  Note: This field only displays when option 8109 is set to D.

J = print the Intelligent Mail barcode on each A/R statement using the 9-digit zip code and two-digit delivery point code. If you use this setting, you must also set up options 8107 and 8108 for Intelligent Mail barcode printing
