Check Quantity Insufficient on Special Orders

(ID# 5447) This POS option in Options Configuration only applies if the option "Display Qty NA Warning Message" is set to Y.

Y= POS will check for sufficient quantity for stock items (Keep Stock = Yes) being posted to a Special Order type of transaction. If the item's quantity available is enough to cover the quantity being posted to the Special Order, the system will leave the P.O. # in the posting area blank instead of setting it to Buyer or RSRV (based on how options 9386 and 51 are set). This way, if the customer picks up some items to purchase as they are walking to the special order pickup desk, the system won't place those items on a P.O.

N= the system will check for quantity insufficient on sales only.

Notes:  

• When set to Y, if the item's quantity available is less than the quantity being posted, then whether the insufficient quantity message displays  depends on option 190 "Display Qty NA Warning Message" being set to Yes. If it is set to No, this message does not appear.
• You may have set option 9386 “S/O - Default PO# to RSRV on Special Orders” (or option 51 “Adv S/O - Default PO# to BUYER to place item on Buyer's List”) to No in order to avoid accidentally having a stocked item being added to a special order PO. Now you can set option 5447 to Yes, and set option 9386 to Yes.
