(ID#320) This POS option in Options Configuration determines if a savings line prints on the cash receipt. The savings line is the accumulated difference between the suggested price and the actual selling price. If the total difference is greater than .00, the savings amount prints on the receipt tape.
For example:
******************************
YOU SAVED $3.77 BY SHOPPING AT
ACTIVANT HOME CENTER
******************************
Y = The savings line prints on the receipt tape. If you set this field to Y, the Suggested Price to Print field must not be blank. Set the Suggested Price to Print field to L, M, R, or P.
If option 5956 “Include Trade Discount in the 'You Saved' amount?” is set to Yes, the "you saved" amount will include any discount given after totaling a transaction (either a trade discount or an immediate terms discount).
On Orders, Special Orders, Estimates, and Suspended sale transactions, the savings line will only print if the transaction is invoiced immediately. The savings line will NOT account for the savings of items already on recalled transactions that are then invoiced.
N = The savings line does not print on the receipt tape.
