This POS option in Options Configuration is for Protobase users only (the Credit Authorization Allowed field in Options Configuration is set to P [Protobase]).
Set the "Prompt for Customer Code" option in Options Configuration to Yes if you want to accept Level II purchase cards.
When this option is set to Yes a dialog will come up when a bankcard is swiped. This dialog is titled "Enter Customer Code". The clerk can type in the user's customer code (the customer should know their code) and press Enter, or just press Escape. After this, authorization will commence.
This field can be up to six characters long.
If a Code is entered in this field, it will be placed in the ProtoBase type 70 record. Otherwise, this field is set to CASH for a cash customer, or to the customer number for a charge customer.
