In this System option in Options Configuration, check each field in the list that you want to have the system force to uppercase so that entering upper, lower, or mixed case characters into the file will find that item/entity.
Currently, Customer Sort Name is the only field that can be forced to uppercase. To use, select choice 1 (Customer Sort Name) in this option. Doing so will cause the system to:
Automatically queue (to channel 40) the utility FXSRT with report option “Uppercase customer sort name” to change the sort name to uppercase on all existing customers
Store new/changed customer sort names in uppercase
Lookup by customer sort name using the uppercased value regardless of how the user entered it (upper, lower, or mixed case)
