A report queue can be defined as a series of reports lined up and waiting for their turn to be printed (or spooled). Queues may be created in two ways:
When you initiate a report and the printer is already busy with another print job, the report is put in the queue.
You can build a standard series of reports and give the series a name. You then run this series of reports (called a "queue") by the name you assigned. The reports are sent to the Report Queue, where they print in the order you specified when you built the queue. You are probably familiar with this procedure as it is used for running end-of-day, month-end, and year-end reports.
