Transoft U/SQL licenses are "portable" across the network as illustrated in the following example:
Assume that you have purchased a single Transoft U/SQL license, to be used primarily from workstation number 2 located in the business office. If you wish to use Microsoft Access to analyze sales from workstation number 3, you may use the Transoft U/SQL License Manager to "Un-License" workstation number 2. Then, at workstation number 3 you would use the "License Me" button to enable ODBC connectivity on the new station. In this illustration, it would not be possible to license the second station before un-licensing the first workstation.
From the PC you wish to "unlicense," click Start, then click Run. The Run dialog box displays.
Enter C:\3apps\catapult\3usql.exe and click OK.
In the U/SQL License Manager dialog box, click Un-License to disable ODBC connectivity.
From the PC to which you wish to move the license, repeat steps 1 and 2. Then, in the U/SQL License Manager dialog box, click License Me! to enable ODBC connectivity.
To verify connectivity between this PC and the Eagle Server, click on Admin Utility.
Click the System DSN tab. You should see three data dictionaries: triad.udd, triadap.udd, triadgl.udd
Click the first data dictionary and click on Test Connect. This should return a Connection Succeeded message. Repeat this process for the other data dictionaries.
If you do not receive a Connection Succeeded message, check Function SSM to verify that the ODBC system manager is running. If it is not running, highlight it by using the down-arrow key, then press RUN.
