HHCADD: Adding SKUs for Ace Coupons and Certificates

Use the following procedure to run the HHCADD utility, which automatically adds Ace Rewards coupon and certificate SKUs and their corresponding UPC codes to your system.  

You can use the Ace Rewards SKUs at POS, regardless of whether or not you participate in the Ace Rewards program. After running HHCADD,  you'll be able to simply scan a customer's Ace Rewards coupons and certificates at POS, and the appropriate amount will be added to or subtracted from the customer's invoice.

There are three "classes" of coupons and certificates that are added to your system when you run the HHCADD utility: 1) Credit (customer gets money back), 2) Debit (customer pays a service charge deposit), and 3) No Charge (customer gets free points).

To run the HHCADD utility, you must be on level 24.2506 or above, or patch 2086 must be installed if you're on a lower software level. HHCADD can only be run from Network Access. It is not available in Eagle for Windows.

Running HHCADD for the First Time

  1. From the Network Access Main Menu, type HHCADD and press <Enter>. The "Add SKUs for HHC Coupons and Certificates" screen displays.

  1. In the Stores field, type 1 if you only have one store. If you are multistore, type all the store numbers for which you want to add the SKUs.

  2. In the Department field, enter the department number to which you want the SKUs to be assigned.

  1. In the Class field, enter the class number to which you want the SKUs to be assigned. Or, you can leave this field blank, and the system will use the class from the Ace data.

  2. At Overwrite Existing Records, leave the N, since this is your first time loading the Ace Rewards SKUs.  

  3. Press <Run>.

  4. (Optional) In a few minutes, view the HHCADD report in the spooler to view the coupon and certificate SKUs that were added.

Re-running HHCADD

You can re-run HHCADD at any time if you want to change the department and/or class of the Ace Rewards SKUs, add Ace Rewards SKUs for another store, or add additional Ace Rewards SKUs/UPCs that Ace has added to their data files.

  1. From the Network Access Main Menu, type HHCADD and press <Enter>. The "Add SKUs for HHC Coupons and Certificates" screen displays.

  1. If you're adding Ace Rewards records to a new store(s), type the store number(s) in the Stores field.

  2. If you're changing the department of Ace Rewards SKUs, enter the new department in the Department field. Otherwise, type the existing department number in this field.

  1. If you're changing the class of Ace Rewards SKUs, enter the new class in the Class field. Otherwise, type the existing class in this field if you want to retain the class you previously assigned, or leave this field blank if you want to use the class from the Ace data.

  2. At Overwrite Existing Records, type a Y, since you are changing existing Ace Rewards SKUs.  

  3. Press <Run>.

  4. (Optional) In a few minutes, view the HHCADD report in the spooler to view the coupon and certificate SKUs that were modified.
