(Optional) Setting up the Receipt Printer for Ace Rewards

This topic describes how to set up the Receipt Printer Opt. field in Modify Terminal Record (Function MTR) for a slaved receipt printer. A slaved printer is one that is connected directly to a terminal and can only be used by that terminal.  If you are using a system receipt printer (one that is used by more than one terminal), you can skip this procedure. The Receipt Printer Opt. field determines whether items you post at POS print on the receipt as you post them, or print at the end of the transaction.  When you set up this field using the following instructions, the system does not print a receipt until the transaction is completed. This can be useful if the system needs to reprice an Ace Rewards transaction, because posted items are first deleted from the transaction, then repriced and added back to the same transaction. Using this option can eliminate using additional receipt tape during the repricing process, and ensures a clean receipt for your customer.

  1. From the Network Access Main Menu, type MTR and press <Enter>.

The Modify Terminal Record screen displays.

  1. At the Receipt Printer Opt. field, type EN and press <Change>.

The Receipt Printer Opt. field is in the middle column titled POS Devices.
