If you have the Eagle Do it Best national catalog, use the following procedure to receive the quantity on hand ("inventory balances") for items in your retail service center (RSC). RSC inventory balances will be visible in the Do it Best catalog, as well as in Inventory Maintenance and Purchasing and Receiving. They can assist you in making buying decisions because you'll know how many of a particular item are on hand at Do it Best before you order the item. RSC balances are generated Monday through Friday between 2:30 AM and 3:30 AM Eastern time. Therefore, you probably want to queue the transmission to run Monday through Friday.
This procedure assumes you have already completed telecommunications setup.
From the Eagle Browser, enter ERDC in the Launch bar and press Enter.
Alternatively, you can click on the Do it Best Telecommunications Menu, and then select Receive RSC Balances (ERDC).
In the Electronic RSC Balances Transmission window, in the Control Stream field, enter the name of your RSC control stream, or leave the default if your control stream name is HWIRDC.
Click Run to initiate the transmission. Or, click Queue (F7) to add the transmission to an end-of-day queue.
Give the transmission a few minutes to process, and then check the transmission results in ASYMSG.
Press Next (F7) (you may have to press it numerous times if you have done a lot of transmitting today) to scroll down to the end of the log.
Look for the section of the log that looks similar to this. The log looks slightly different depending on whether you use async or FTP communications.
