Downloading a Database to the LDT/PDT

Use the following procedure to download an Inventory or Purchase Order database from the Epicor Eagle™ to the PC to the LDT/PDT.

1. Make sure the LDT/PDT is in its cradle that's connected to the PC.

2. From the Network Access Main Menu, type SRLNK and press <Enter>.

3. Do one of the following, depending upon which data base you're downloading:

   • If you are creating an Inventory database for Management/Label functionality, use the down-arrow key to select UCID, and press <Enter>. Enter any From and To range you desire, then press <Run>.  The system creates the database you requested.

   • If you are creating a PO database for receiving POs, use the down-arrow key to select UCPD and press <Enter>. Then do the following:

   • • In the Database Selection field, enter an A to include all POs, an E or I to exclude or include by vendor, or a P to select particular PO numbers.  Note that if you enter E, P, or I, you will be prompted to type in the specific vendor(s) or PO number(s).

     • In the Include Status R POs field, enter a Y if you want to include POs that are already in the process of being received.  Otherwise, leave the default of N.

     • In the Build Purchase Order Database With field, leave the default of blank.

     • In the Use Expanded SKU field, select N if you use the multi-UPC format on the LDT/PDT, or select Y if you use the CC/SS format.

     • Press <Run>.

4. Press <End> to return to the Main Menu. Allow enough time for the database to download before proceeding to the next step.

5. From the desktop of the PC, double-click the LDT MENU icon.

6. If the Summary window does not display, skip this step. If the summary window displays (it only displays if either the UCID or UCPD file on the PC is not up-to-date or doesn't exist) click in the checkbox next to the file you want to download to the PC, then click OK. A dialog box shows you the progress of the download.  When complete, a new window displays.

7. Click Download Files to the True Value Symbol LDT/PDT.

8. Follow the instructions on the screen to prepare the LDT/PDT to receive the download, then click Get Files.

9. When the transfer is complete, the last line in the left pane says "Download Complete." Your LDT/PDT scanner is now ready for use.

10. You can transfer additional files, or click Cancel, and then click Exit.
