Preparing the PC for the LDT/PDT

(True Value LDT users)

1. Install Epicor Eagle™ for Windows if it isn't already installed on the PC.

2. Click Start, point to Programs, Eagle, Utilities, and select Device Configuration.

3. Select Tools, and select Set Retail Device Level.

4. Select All Supported Devices, and click OK.

5. Locate Handheld in the Device Type column. Double-click the field under Device Description where it states "Not Configured." The Select Drive dialog box displays.

6. Click on True Value Symbol LDT/PDT, and click OK.  The Select Handheld Port dialog box displays.

7. Select the correct port that the Handheld will be connected to (often COM 1), and click OK. The Handheld dialog box displays.

8. Verify your selections and click OK.

9. Close the 'Configure Devices' Window.

10. Attach the Handheld unit to the appropriate COM port.
