You should know that the system handles True Value Rewards (TV REWARDS) promotions and non-TV REWARDS promotions differently in some ways. The differences are:
The Promo Sales Code field in the Codes screen of the Inventory file is updated with L (loyalty) when a TV REWARDS promotion is activated.
Unlike other promotions, the TV REWARDS promotion price is not displayed in the Promotion Price field in Inventory. See the topic "Identifying TV REWARDS Promotional Items" for how to display the TV REWARDS promotion price.
Item promotional history for the last three promotions that displays in Inventory Maintenance and in POS, is not updated when the TV REWARDS promotion is deactivated. You can, however, print the Promotion Item Report (RPM) for information about the promotion before deactivating it.
The TV REWARDS promotion price displays only for TV REWARDS customers. When you display a TV REWARDS item in POS before posting it, the TV REWARDS promotion price is displayed in the Price field if you are selling to a TV REWARDS customer with an assigned TV REWARDS ID number. If you have not yet linked the TV REWARDS ID number to the customer and you display the item, the TVR promotion price will not display until you do so.
When you are selling to a TV REWARDS customer, the TV REWARDS promotion price is included when the system searches for the best price. If the item is on a TV REWARDS promotion and a non-TV REWARDS promotion at the same time, best pricing reviews both promotion prices in its search.
