Comparing Eagle True Value Telecommunications to Eagle for Windows True Value Telecommunications

You may already be familiar with the classic Epicor Eagle™  Telecommunications (Telecom) applications. You know how to use the various functions and reports, including Function BTC, ERP, and EFM.  This topic compares the classic True Value Telecom applications to the True Value Telecom for Windows applications so that you can understand the similarities and differences between the two.

Displaying Functions and Reports

Where is the Main Menu? With the classic Telecom applications, if, for example, you want to receive your A-Copy invoice (ERP), you type ERP at the Main Menu and press the Enter key.

With the True Value Telecom for Windows applications, the Main Menu has been replaced by the Eagle Browser. From the Browser window you can display the ERP screen using either of the following methods:

• In the list in the left pane, click Applications. Then from the list in the right pane, click True Value Telecommunications Menu.  Then click Receive A-Copy Invoice.

• In the top pane, in the Launch box, type ERP and press Enter.

The Browser is very similar to the Main Menu. If you know the acronym for the window you want to display (such as ERP for Electronic Receipt Posting), type the acronym in the Launch box and press Enter.

If you don't know the acronym, click Applications from the list in the left pane, then click an applications category from the list in the right pane, and then click the name of the window you want to display.

You can also click the arrow to the right of the Launch box to display a list of recently accessed windows. From this list, you can click one of the choices to display the window.

Functions and Reports

Use the following table to map the classic True Value Telecom function to True Value Telecom for Windows. In the first column you'll find the classic True Value Telecom function or report name and acronym. In the second column is the True Value Telecom for Windows name and acronym. This is the acronym you type in the Launch box to display the window.
