There are a total of three EFM reports. There is also an EFM History Viewer. Whether or not all three EFM reports print depends upon how your control stream is set up, and whether or not you have the True Value catalog on your system. The three reports are:
Price Change Transmission Report (called BTC in the spooler). This report has two sections:
Items Not Added-- the cost and retail price changes that the system could not add to the Price Change File. There are several reasons why a change may not be added to the Price Change File. The far right column, REASON NOT ADDED, indicates a code that refers to why the item could not be added to your Price Change File. The codes and their meanings print on the prepage of the report.
Price Changes-The cost and retail price changes that the system added to the Price Change File.
Item Update Transmission Report (called EFM in the spooler). This report has three sections:
Exception-shows items not updated to Function FIL and the reasons why not (FIL is where incoming new items and changes to existing items are received and stored until you update your Inventory with the new data).
Additional Information-contains information that is not included in the fields that update Function FIL such as a list of items that will soon be discontinued (but aren't yet).
Total-shows information about the total number of records received for new and existing items, file numbers, and dates. Note: it is normal for the number of records to not add up to the GRAND TOTAL number.
EFM Update Catalog Report (called EFMTC in the spooler). This report does not print but can be found in the Spooled Reports window. The report shows how many catalog items were added, changed, and deleted. It also shows some detail about what happened during the processing of the incoming catalog data, but this detail is not useful to you, nor should it alarm you if you see statements such as "Change Failed" or "Delete Failed."
