The following setup allows you to scan the consumer’s Best Rewards Redemption Certificate in POS posting. This helps prevent an incorrect discount amount from being entered into POS, and makes it faster to get customers through the checkout line.
If you are an existing user of Best Rewards, you must do a special download through EFM. To initiate the download, contact the Best Rewards department at Do it Best at 260-748-5456, and request file maintenance for Best Rewards certificates. Future new certificates are added to your Eagle system by EFM.
Once the download is available, a series of credit SKUs are added to your Eagle inventory file. The SKUs start with a zero, and have the Location field set to CRED (so that they automatically post as a credit in POS) and Promo Sales Code set to C.
Be sure to set option 8705 “Allow cash back if loyalty coupon(s) exceed purchases” to Yes or No, depending on whether you allow cash back when the redemption amount exceeds the purchase amount.
