Use the following procedure to have an entire statement run created directly as a PDF file. This PDF can then be used by an application like Pitney Bowes to automate the mailing of the statements.
Output to PDF cannot be used with Email Statements.
Option 900 "Allow the user to print laser statements in RSM?” must be set to C or Y to use the PDF feature. Only an Epicor representative can change this option.
You only need to set up options once, before the first time you run PDF statements.
Click ID. Using the list below, enter the ID number of the option, and click OK. Click in the Current Value column, select the setting indicated below, and click Change. Repeat this process for both options.
8981 "Allow PDF creation of A/R Statement”— set this option to Y.
8983 "PDF Statement file pathname”— enter the pathname to the shared network directory where PDF versions of statements will be created. The path name is limited to 32 characters. The format of the pathname is \\{ip address of the target PC}\{name of the shared folder} or it could be \\{computer name of the target PC}\{name of the shared folder}.
Run the Statement Report (RSM). Make sure the Form Type in MPS screen 1 is set to STMT. On the Print Setup page of RSM, select Y in the Output to PDF field, and select Y in the Laser Statements field.
The filename of the PDF will be in the format RSMMMDDYYHHMMSS, where RSM = the report name, MM = the month the RSM is run, DD = the date, YY = the Year, HH = the hour in 24 hour time, MM = minutes and SS = seconds.
