Overview of Setting Up Customer Order Management

 (Customer Order Management users only)

Before you can use Customer Order Management, the Epicor Licensing Department or the Eagle Advice Line must activate the following flags in Options Configuration:  

• "Advanced Order Entry on System" (ID# 76) must be set to Y.  

As a result of changing "Advanced Order Entry on System" to Y, the flag "Create Transfer"  will be set to a new value automatically. If it was previously set to Y or P, it will be automatically set to B. If it was previously set to N, it will be automatically set to O.

• "Transfer Passoff Allowed" (ID# 19) must be set to Y (if you use Epicor's General Ledger application)

Setting Up Customer Order Management (COM)

To set up the COM application, do the following:

• Set up options related to COM

• Set up security related to COM

• Set up Eagle Alerts related to COM

• Set up shipping methods

• Set up the POS Shipping Options dialog

• Set up shipping fields by customer

•  Set up alternate (substitute) items

• Set up selling codes

• Set up the Open Order Item Report (RIO) to run nightly

• Set up Auto-transfer items

• Set up Transfer Customer Links

• Set up UPS Online World Ship Integration, if applicable

• Set up Transfer Passoff (if you have General Ledger)

• Set up Enhanced Forms
