The Flexible Consumer Information Collection feature for POS is an optional replacement for the Cash Customer Information dialog. With this flexible information collection mechanism, you select the Point-of-Sale events for which you require consumer information, and for each of those events, you select the required information and the optional information to be collected from the consumer at the transaction level and/or item level. This feature allows you to prompt the clerk to enter only the required information which is not already on the transaction. For example, if you require address and zip code, but you are creating a transaction for a customer with that information already in Customer Maintenance, you will not be asked to enter that information.
