This field in Customer Maintenance (Misc tab) lets you determine a dollar amount threshold for the system to prompt the clerk to enter cash customer information at POS (this field only applies to cash customers because customer name always prints on charge transactions). If you enter a threshold amount in this field, you must also set the field "Prompt for Windows" to Y. At POS, if the threshold is reached, a window displays for the clerk to enter the cash customer's name, which then prints on the 40 column receipt and/or the invoice.
This field is numeric. You can enter up to six numbers plus a decimal.
Canadian users only: You should set this field to Y because Canadian law requires that all transactions that exceed a certain dollar threshold must have the customer's name printed on the receipt. The clerk can optionally enter a PST and/or GST registration number in the same window where they enter the customer's name.
