To use the blanket order feature, the following options must be enabled or set up on your Eagle system.
The following system option must be enabled on your system.
Blanket Orders on System (ID #132)
In Options Configuration, verify that the option is set to Yes. In the Options Configuration window, set Subsystem to All and set Options to MSY - System Parameters to view the option. Review and set up the following configuration options that apply to blanket orders.
Blanket Order Remainder Posting Preference (ID#8124, Subsystem=POS). This option applies only to the automatic method of posting blanket orders. If there is a remaining amount, this option determines if the quantity is added to the first or last delivery. The option defaults to F / First. The other choice is L / Last.
The following options apply to committed quantity and how the system uses future and current committed quantity when running a Suggested Order Report (RSO) and calculating quantity available for an item. For more information, click here to go to the help topic.
Use Current Committed Quantity in Suggested Order (ID#8117, Subsystem=Purchasing).
Days added to vendor lead time to determine 'current' committed quantity (ID#8119, Subsystem=Purchasing).
Use 'current' committed quantity in calculation of Quantity Available? (ID#8121, Subsystem=POS).
Number of days before future committed quantity becomes current (ID#8123, Subsystem=POS).
