This topic describes the features and limitations that apply to blanket orders. This information will help you to further understand how blanket orders work on the Eagle system.
With blanket orders, you have the ability to pick, pack, ship, and invoice by delivery date.
A SKU can have up to a maximum of 40 deliveries per post.
Manual overrides to price, description, cost, and location are allowed, and apply across all occurrences of the line item.
Manager overrides are allowed, and apply across all occurrences of the line item.
Serial number items are allowed, and the prompt for serial number displays for each occurrence.
Multiple Selling Unit (MSU) SKUs are allowed, and each occurrence of the post inherits the posting information after the first MSU dialog displays.
Quantity breaks are allowed, and each occurrence of the post inherits the quantity break pricing for the total quantity posted.
SKUs with extended descriptions (MED) are allowed, and the extended description displays with each occurrence of the post.
Lot items are allowed, and prompt for allocation with each occurrence of the post.
Security prompts are allowed, and the prompt displays with each occurrence of the post.
NIF (not in file) SKUs are allowed, and prompt with each occurrence.
You can change a line-item tax code or add tax to a non-taxable item, and these changes are used across all occurrences of that line item.
Bill of Material (BOM) SKUs are limited to their normal posting methods when posted to a blanket order, thus blanket posting methods don't apply to this type of SKU.
Tally type 1,2,3 and 4 SKUs are limited to their normal posting methods when posted to a blanket order, thus blanket posting methods don't apply to this type of SKU.
Toxic, Tint, and Pattern SKUs are limited to their normal posting methods when posted to a blanket order, thus blanket posting methods don't apply to this type of SKU.
Voiding one line of a posted SKU does not result in the rest of the lines for the SKU to be voided.
Pricing in multiples (such as "3 for $1.99") is not allowed on a blanket order.
