Setting Up Core Type Inventory Records

To set up core type records, system option 8180 “Cores on System” must be enabled by an Epicor representative. On the Pricing tab of Inventory Maintenance, you can set the Core Item field to Y for your Core items, or you can change a Core item to a non-Core type record.

Changing an Inventory Item to a Core Type Item

  1. Display the desired item in the Pricing tab.

  2. In the Core Item field, select Y, and enter a Core Replacement Cost that is greater than 0. Then click Change.

Changing a Core Type Inventory Record to a Non-Core Type Record:

  1. Display the desired item in the Pricing tab

  2. Change the Core Item field to “N”, and click Change. This removes any Core prices.
