Using Maintain Extended Part Search

Maintain Extended Part Search allows you to control what part number sources are used and the order in which they are used to search for part information in Inventory Maintenance (IMU), Point of Sale (POS) and Purchasing (PUR). Without entries in Maintain Extended Part Search, each of these applications have their own default sources and order to use when searching for part information.

Using  Maintain Extended Part Search

1. From the Eagle Browser, select Options Configuration under the System Management folder, or type OPT in the launch bar and press Enter.
2. Click Misc, and select E - Maintain Extended Part Search.
3. Select the application you want to configure, such as WINPOS.
4. Use the dropdown lists to select the sources and the order you want to use. To exclude a source, simply don’t include it in any selection.

The application will now respond to part searches using these sources and in the order specified.
