Using the PartSource Plus Viewer

The following procedure explains how to use the PartSource Plus (PSP) Viewer to view PartSource Plus information and to add an inventory record from PartSource Plus in POS.

Viewing Information

  1. From the Eagle Browser, open the PartSource Plus viewer from the link in the Inventory folder, or type PSP in the Launch Bar and press Enter.
  2. Use the Source drop-down to select the desired PartSource Plus file.
  3. Click Refresh (KPad +) to view the entire file or enter any desired values such as a line code, part number or description and Refresh (KPad +) to filter the listed information.

Adding Inventory Records from PartSource Plus in POS

For items manually posted to POS, as well as items posted to POS through LaserCat and AConneX, simply post a part that is not-in-file in any store and is in PartSource Plus. POS adds the part to the store’s inventory using the part and pricing information from PartSource Plus and posts the part to the transaction with customer pricing.

Adding Inventory Records from PartSource Plus in Inventory Maintenance (IMU)

  1. Display a part that is not-in-file in any store and is in PartSource Plus.
  2. When IMU displays a dialog notifying you that the part was found in PartSource Plus, select “Yes” to add it to inventory using the part and pricing information from PartSource Plus.

Using PartSource Plus in LaserCat Lookups

  1. For in-file parts, look up any application in PartExpert showing at least one part that is in-file in the store and also is in PartSource Plus. The Warehouse Status shown is from PartSource Plus.
  2. For not-in-file parts, look up any application in PartExpert showing at least one part that is not-in-file in the store and is in PartSource Plus. The customer pricing is based on the PartSource Plus prices, and the Warehouse Status shown utilizes information from PartSource Plus.

Using PartSource Plus in AConneX

When a customer performs a query to Eagle through AConneX on a line and part that is not-in-file in the store (and is also not-in-file in the pricing store) and is in PartSource Plus, the customer pricing returned in the query is based on the PartSource Plus prices.
