Price Synchronization: Set Up Options and Flag Items
Setting up Price Synchronization includes setting up the options that control the feature, and flagging inventory items as to whether their cost and/or price should be synchronized across all stores.
-
The Epicor Licensing Department or Eagle Advice Line must activate option 3080 "Allow Price Synchronization" in Options Configuration.
-
Set up the options that control the Price Synchronization feature, as follows:

.
-
Click ID. Using the list below, enter the ID number of the option, and click OK. Click in the Current Value column, select the desired setting, and click Change. Repeat this process for all options in the list. For more information about a particular option, click its blue underlined text.
(ID# 3082) Default for WinIMU "Synchronize Costs" flagThis is the default value for the "Synchronize Costs" field in Inventory Maintenance, the Pricing tab. When the Synchronize Costs field is set to O ("use E4W option") in Inventory Maintenance, the system uses the value in this option. For example, if an item's Synchronized Cost field is set to O, and this option is set to Y, then that item would have costs synchronized across all stores, because the system would obey the Y from this option.
(ID# 3081) Default for WinIMU "Synchronize Prices" flagThis is the default value for the "Synchronize Prices" field in Inventory Maintenance, the Pricing tab. When the Synchronize Prices field is set to O ("use E4W option") in Inventory Maintenance, the system uses the value in this option. For example, if an item's Synchronized Prices field is set to O, and this option is set to Y, then that item would have its price synchronized across all stores, because the system would obey the Y from this option.
(ID# 118) Keep Prices the Same in All Stores?Typically you use this option to specify whether the pricing fields in the Inventory Maintenance window are master data (if this option is set to Yes) or store-specific data (if this option is set to No). But because you are using the Price Synchronization feature, this option must be set to No so that you can then pick and choose which items have the same cost/price in all stores, and which items do not. You must set this option to No to use the Price Synchronization feature.
