This is the upper limit of the retail price range for the rounding rules found on the same line of the Price Rounding table. This field displays when adding "cents" or "dollars" rounding. The lower limit is the highest price on the previous line.
For example: The Prices Thru column looks like this in the Price Rounding grid:
.50
1.00
5.00
10.00
500.00
For the first line in the column (.50), the retail price range is .01 up to but not including .50. For the second line (1.00), the retail price range is .50 up to but not including 1.00. The retail price range for each highest price line is as follows:
.50 is .01 through .49
1.00 is .50 through .99
5.00 is 1.00 through 4.99
10.00 is 5.00 through 9.99
500.00 is 10.00 through 499.99
If you have an item with a cost of $5.00 and a desired gross margin of 50%, the system calculates a retail price of $10.00 without price rounding.
With price rounding it would round the price according to the rounding rules on the 500.00 line.
In this example, if the system calculates a retail price of $500.00 or higher, it does not round the retail price because there are no rounding rules set for prices in that range.
If you decide to use price rounding, this field is required. Up to 30 lines are available under the Prices Thru column. Use as many as you need to set up your price rounding scheme.
This field is numeric. You can enter up to six numbers plus a decimal point. For example, 1234.56.
