Use the Change Class screen (Function CCL) to:
Combine two class codes into one.
Change one class code to another.
When you combine two codes, the class sales history is also combined.
When you change an existing code to a new one, the new code is added to Class Maintenance (MCL). In addition, the class sales history is transferred to the new code and the old code's description is changed to reflect that it was changed with CCL. In both cases, the old class code remains in Class Maintenance with the class sales history cleared.
Important: You should use CCL after your End-of-Day reports have finished processing and there is no other activity on the system. CCL updates the new class code for SKUs in the following areas:
Inventory Maintenance
Class Maintenance (MCL)
Category Pricing Plan (CPP)
Business Advisor
At the Network Access Main Menu, type CCL and press <Enter>. The Change Class screen displays.
Leave the Options field blank to change the class, or enter C to combine classes.
In the Old Class field, enter the class code for the class you want to change. The class code must exist in Class Maintenance (MCL).
In the New Class field, enter the class code for the new class. If you are changing one class code to another, the new code must not already exist in Class Maintenance (MCL). If you are combining class codes, the new code must exist in Class Maintenance (MCL).
Press <Run>.
