Overriding an Item's Price or Quantity

You can override the settings for any part or labor item either before or after posting the item to the shopping cart. Your changes affect only the item you're selling. They are not saved to the LaserCat 3 catalog.

Overriding Before Posting the Item

There are two ways you can override an item's settings before you post it.

Make changes in the posting area

  1. Highlight the part or labor item so that the item displays in yellow.

  2. In the posting area at the bottom of the main window, make changes as needed.

  3. Select Post to Cart.

Your changes are saved and the item is posted to the shopping cart.

Open the Post Override dialog box

  1. Highlight the part or labor item so that the item displays in yellow.

  2. On the keyboard, press <Shift + Enter>

Either the Post Parts Override or the Post Labor Override dialog displays, depending on which catalog tab you are in.

  1. Make changes as needed.

  2. Click OK.

Your changes are saved and the item is posted to the shopping cart.

 

Overriding After Posting the Item

To override from the shopping cart, do the following:

  1. Click the Cart button.

The Posted Items dialog box opens.

  1. Double-click the item OR highlight the item and click Edit...

Either the Post Parts Override or the Post Labor Override dialog displays, depending on which catalog tab you are in.

  1. Edit prices or quantities as needed.

  2. Click OK when finished.

The Post Parts Override dialog box closes.

  1. In the Posted Items dialog box, click OK.

The Post Items dialog box closes.
