In POS, once the Tax Free Holiday (TFH) has been enabled, any item that is eligible for the TFH will be sold as nontaxable through the "Last Date" established for that Store/Store Group participating in the TFH.
Note the following about how certain types of transactions interact with a TFH:
On saved transactions (Suspended transactions, Orders, Special Orders, Estimates, and Layaways), an item's eligibility for tax-free status is determined at the time the item is posted to the transaction, not when it is invoiced; therefore, the TFH must be in effect at the time the item is posted to the saved transaction.
If the transaction is started for the default cash customer and then changed to a house account resulting in a reprice, any items previously ineligible due to a selling price that exceeded the Max Selling Price but are now below the maximum price, will be changed to tax-free.
An item receiving a Dynamic Promotion which reduces the selling price so that it falls below the Max Selling Price will NOT be changed to tax-free.
