Pharmacy Interface: Will Call Prescription Lookup

There are three methods for doing will call prescription look-up:

Note: Will call lookup is not available in off-line because the off-line Rx file is used to add records from off-line POS and does not contain any Rx transaction information.

Method 1:  Scan or Enter the RX number

  1. In POS, scan or enter the RX number. The Eagle system searches for all the “filled but not sold” transactions in the rx file for the patient.

  2. When POS displays the prescription list back to clerk

  3. When you are finished viewing the will call information, click OK. The original prescription item posts to POS.  Note: The will call dialog will not display again for this transaction for this customer.

  4. Scan or enter the RX number of any additional RX items you are selling.

  5. If a subsequent prescription is scanned on the same transaction for a different customer, repeat steps 1-3.

Method 2:  Prescription Lookup by Name

  1. In POS, with your cursor in the Item (SKU) field, select Menu (Kpad -), select W-Pharmacy Menu, and then select Prescription Query by Name.

  2. Enter the customer's last name, and optionally their first name, in the corresponding fields. Then click OK.

The system lists customers first and last name and address for filled but not sold prescriptions.

  1. Select the proper customer.

  2. Look up any additional RX items you are selling.

  3. If a subsequent prescription is scanned on the same transaction for a different customer, repeat steps 1-3.
