A/R Flex Report Definition (RFD): Report Example

This topic provides an example of the A/R Flex Report Definition report (RFD) and definitions of the fields on the report. This report is available from Network Access only.

For more information about RFD and running the report, refer to the legacy online help topics. To view the legacy online help topics, display the RFD report screen in Network Access, then press <Shift><Help> to display the Help Menu. From the menu, select Screen Help to display information about the report, and select Field Help to access individual help topics for the fields on the RFD report initiation screen.

Report Example

The following is an example of the report. Click a field in the report to take you to the field definition.

Report Field Definitions

The following is a list in alphabetical order of the fields on the RFD report. The report format is entered in MFR (A/R Flex Report Format Maintenance).

Field #— The field number of the field.

Field Header— The title of the field. This can be the system supplied default definition or can be user defined in MFR.

Format Name— The name that identifies this report format. Use this name in the Flex Report Name field when running the report from RFR (A/R Flexible Report).

Length— The total length (number of spaces) allocated to this field.

Line #— Indicates the data type of line and the line number. The data type of a line is a C - Customer (for data fields from the Customer record) or T - Transaction (for data fields from transaction records). Five lines are available for C data. Two lines are available for T data.

Options— The option codes used when running this report. If you need more information about this field, use the help feature in Network Access by pressing <Help> (the F2 key), then select Help, Field Help, Options.  

Print Loc— The print location. This is the starting position of the first character that prints for the field. For C data type lines, valid locations are from 1 to 132. For T type lines, valid locations are from 10 to 132.

Report Sample— A report sample that provides an example of how the report will look when running the report from RFR (A/R Flexible Report). The field headers print in the location specified in MFR. Data is represented by the X's, including spaces, as per the format entered in MFR.

Report Title— The title that prints at the top of the report when running the report from RFR (A/R Flexible Report).
