Using Printing Plans
Using Printing Plans from a POS Terminal without Central Order Desk Enabled
Printing logic is based on the type of transaction being printed (i.e., Order, Invoice, etc.), and uses the following sequence:
- If the customer has a printing plan assigned for the type of transaction in Customer Maintenance (MCR), it overrides all other POS print settings for the type of transaction.
- If the customer does not have a printing plan assigned for the type of transaction in Customer Maintenance (MCR), and option 7734 “Print Delivery Instructions and Custom Printing Plan” has a Printing Plan assigned for the type of transaction, it overrides POS printing defined in Device configuration for the type of transaction.
- If the customer does not have a printing plan assigned for the type of transaction in Customer Maintenance (MCR), and option 7734 “Print Delivery Instructions and Custom Printing Plan” does not have a Printing Plan assigned for the type of transaction, then POS printing is defined through Device Configuration.
Using Printing Plans from a Central Order Desk POS Terminal:
Central Order Desk terminals require Printing Plans to be assigned for each store and for all transaction types.
- If the Central Order Desk store is assigned to a Printing Plan for the type of transaction, the assigned Central Order Desk Printer Plan controls POS printing.
- If the Central Order Desk store is not assigned to a Printing Plan for the type of transaction, the default printer in Device Configuration is used for POS printing.
