Weblinks Overview

Weblinks are URL’s that can be attached to individual Eagle Business Objects. Currently links can be attached to items, customers, and vendors. The links (URL’s) can be to websites, images, PDF files, etc. as long as it has an accessible URL.

URL’s start with "www.", "http://" , or "https://" to link to a web page, image, PDF, or whatever other web content can be displayed in a browser. To link to images stored locally on your network, use the "file://" prefix (i.e. "file://x:\images\image123.jpg") and files in either of these formats: “jpg”, “png”, “gif”, or “pdf”.

“Eagle N Series” (MSY option 8888 “Eagle N Series on System”) is a pre requisite to use this feature. If “Eagle N Series” is enabled and options and security are setup as described in this document weblinks are accessible from both “Eagle N Series” and classic “Eagle 4 Windows” maintenance applications ( Inventory Maintenance IMU, Customer Maintenance – MCR, and MVR).

A Weblink can  be a PDF stored on the local network.
