Transaction Codes.
Use this field in the Open Item Maintenance window to identify certain transactions. You can include and exclude these codes on certain reports (for example, Report RFR-A/R Flexible Report).
This field is alphanumeric. You can enter up to four numbers and letters.
The system uses the fourth position to indicate the tender type on POS transactions. The following codes are used:
A = charge
B = bankcard
C = cash
K = check
S = split tender
Each position of the field is independent of the other positions. For example, _P__ is not the same as P___.
If you decide to enter your own code, you must decide what each code means. The system does not keep track of what they are or what they mean. Therefore, you should keep a list for future reference.
