(ID #1847) This POS option in Options Configuration
determines if the FFL Long City Name feature is enabled on the system.
When
this option is set to Yes, the Maintain Additional Information window
in Customer Maintenance has the FFL
Long City for Firearms in Point-of-Sale
field and the Maintain
Purchasing Options window in Vendor Maintenance
includes the
FFL Long City for Firearms in P.O.s.
If
the FFL Long City for Firearms in Point-of-Sale field is populated, that
value will pass to FFLCM from Point of Sale when a firearms disposition
record is transferred to FFLCM. The Long City name is passed to FFLCM
even if the city name in the Ship To field is overwritten on a POS transaction.
If
the FFL Long City for Firearms in P.O.s is populated, that value will
pass to FFLCM from RPO when a firearms acquisition record is transferred
to FFLCM. The Long City name is passed to FFLCM even if the city name
is overwritten on a purchase order for the vendor.
If
the FFL Long City field is blank the value in the regular city in the
main tab of Customer or Vendor Maintenance is transferred accordingly.
Electronic
customer or vendor updates, such as Ace or True Value loyalty updates,
or third party imports do not update these fields.
Additionally,
changes to the city field on the main tab of the Vendor or Customer record
do not cause these long city fields to change.
