(ID# 3257) If this Telecommunications option is set to Yes in Options Configuration, when EFM is run, long descriptions will automatically be transmitted and will update your True Value catalog. This option is available simply as a way to turn off these updates, should they cause poor system performance or other unforseen issues. Typically, however, this option should never need to be changed to No.
Note: Once you install level 18, you must install one last catalog before the EFM process will start updating images. When you run LOADCAT on level 18, the system will use the sequence numbers embedded in the catalog to pull down EFM data (including long descriptions, images and other catalog data that had not previously been updated through EFM). During this process, it will also update the new sequence numbers in COTUTL which will get your catalog information up to date. Then going forward, EFM will download this new data automatically using the sequence numbers found in COTUTL.
This option defaults to Yes.
