True Value "Simplified Ordering" is a suite of Eagle for Windows features intended to simplify and manage purchase orders that members place to True Value.
You must be using Xcellenet or Afaria telecommunications to take advantage of the Simplified Ordering features (they are not available on the MCS system).
Simplified Ordering currently includes:
Ship Later Download File - Electronically receive information about your current Ship Later items. That means you'll no longer spend time looking for receiving documents to find out what’s on Ship Later.
Open Purchase Order Events Download File - This feature downloads information about items on order for most True Value non-warehouse orders, such as Auto-Ship, MAVA, and Certified True Blue assortment orders (Direct Ship orders are excluded). The information is downloaded into the Open Purchase Order Events Viewer. Within the Viewer, you can quickly and easily create Eagle for Windows purchase orders for these non-warehouse orders.
Promotion Filtering - Promotions Filtering eliminates the frustration of having to search through an endless list of promotions that are in no particular order. With this feature, you can locate a particular promotion easily and quickly. Just choose whether you want to see Auto Ship, True Value Rewards, or monthly circulars.
Order Deadline Notifications - This feature helps you to never miss an order deadline. An "alert" will remind you that the order deadline for an event is one week away. This alert is generated based on data found in the Market Download (DM) file and the Direct Mail (RI) file. The alert continues to be generated each night (during system maintenance) until the date is past the order due date.
Order Confirmation - With Order Confirmation, you not only receive a confirmation that your order has been successfully transmitted, but you also receive confirmation of the order type, the number of lines transmitted, the event number, the purchase order number, and a date and time stamp from when the PO was received.
