This field is on the Credit tab of the Customer Maintenance window.
Use the Declining Credit Limit field to set up a declining credit limit for this customer account.
This is a fixed amount of available credit that the customer can use. The credit available does not increase as payments are made to the account.
If you set this field to Y, the credit limit amount for a customer account is adjusted each time a POS transaction is completed.
Only POS transactions (charges and credit memos) affect the declining credit limit.
Y = This customer account uses a declining credit limit. You cannot set this field to Y if:
the Global Crdt Check field on Screen 2 is Y.
or
the Global Crdt Check field is blank and the Global Cred Limt field in Function MCT is Y.
N = This customer account does not use a declining credit limit.
For example: You set the credit limit to $500. At POS, you complete a charge transaction for $100. The customer's credit limit is now $400.
The default is blank.
