Non-Merchandise. This field in the Open Item Maintenance window is the amount (taxable and non-taxable) charged to the account for non-merchandise on this transaction.
Examples of non-merchandise are coupons and gift certificates.
The system categorizes POS sale of any item with a special record of M (Miscellaneous) as non-merchandise. The Special Record field is in Function IMU (Item Master Update).
This field is numeric. You can enter up to eight numbers plus a decimal point. For example, 123456.78.
