Account Number

Assign an account number to track all your accounting entries. Account numbers contain two parts: the account number (first four digits) and the subaccount number (last three digits). The account number should remain the same for all its subaccounts.

For example, if your cash account is number 1000, but you need two subaccounts, one representing store 1 and the other representing store 2, add account number 1000-001 and 1000-002. Notice that the account number (1000) remains the same, but the subaccounts (001 and 002) are unique in order to distinguish between the two stores.
