When you use a wildcard search in the Catalog, you insert an asterisk (*) in place of certain characters.
For example, to display a list of all the items that Stanley makes, type STANL* in the Manufacturer Name or # box. Any item whose manufacturer name starts with STANL displays, for example, Stanley Tools, Stanley Hardware, and others.
To use a wildcard search
From the Catalog Find Item screen, in the box by which you want to search, type as many characters as possible to narrow the search, followed by an asterisk (*). Do not use the asterisk (*) at the beginning of a word.
Press Enter.
You should use at least three characters to conduct a wildcard search. If you use less than three characters, it slows down the search.
