You can import promotions to the Modify Item Promotion window (MIP). The promotion items must be in a comma separated value file (CSV file-usually an Excel file). Importing promotions can save you time. This feature requires authorization from Epicor (option 1082 "Import Promotion into MIP from CSV File on System? " must be set to Yes).
This import supports CSV files with the following columns. Only one of columns 3, 4, and 5 should be filled in. Columns 6-18 can be left blank and they will be filled in by the import process.
Item (SKU)
Item Description - may be left blank
Promotion Price - leave blank for % off retail or $ amount off)
Percent Off Retail (0-99, 10=10% off) - leave blank for promo price or $ amount off retail
Amount Off Retail - leave blank for promo price or % off
Promo Code 1 (optional)
Promo Code 2 (optional)
Promo Code 3 (optional)
Promo Code 4 (optional)
Store (optional)
Promotion Type (optional)
Start Date (optional)
End Date (optional)
Max Units (optional, and applicable only if option 9383 "Allow use of 'Maximum Units' promotions" is set to Yes)
Start Time (optional, and applicable only if option 9381 "Allow use of 'timed' promotions" is set to Yes)
End Time (optional, and applicable only if option 9381 "Allow use of 'timed' promotions" is set to Yes)
Timed Promo Price (optional, and applicable only if option 9381 "Allow use of 'timed' promotions" is set to Yes)
Markdown Flag (optional, and applicable only if option 9384 "Allow use of "Markdown" promotions" is set to Yes)
Choose Only one of these three fields to fill in: Promotion Price, Percent Off Retail, or Amount Off Retail.
Leave blank all fields listed from Promo Code 1 to the end of the list. They will be filled in during the import process.
Epicor must set option 1082 to Yes before you can use this procedure.
Save the CSV file to be imported in C:\3apps\temp.
Click Misc, and select Import Promotion CSV file.
At the bottom of the dialog that displays, at File Name, select the file you are importing and click OK.
