Every item should have a location code. This allows you to run reports by location. Here are some examples of how you can use location codes.
Print physical inventory reports by location.
Run a suggested order report by location. Then you can walk the floor and easily check the items on the order against the merchandise on the shelf.
Before you begin entering items, develop a location code scheme based on the layout of your store.
This field is alphanumeric. You can enter up to five numbers and letters.
