Creating Layaways

You must have security bit 637 to create a layaway.

1. From the POS Posting Screen, click on the toolbar.

2. On the Start Transaction menu, click Layaway.

3. Enter or change customer and transaction information, if necessary.

4. Press Enter.  You are prompted to enter a name and phone number for the customer if this information is not already in the system.

5. On the Posting Screen, post the item(s) the customer is putting on layaway.

6. Follow the Totaling Layaways procedure.
