Use the Customer Maintenance window to view customer account information. The information in the Maintain Customer (MCR) window is organized by the following tabs:
Main— In the Main tab you will find basic information about a customer account, such as name, address, and phone number. In addition to basic information, this tab also includes codes (such as the tax code and terms code) and defaults (such as balance method, charge allowed, and taxable) for this account. For information about a specific field, refer to the MCR field help topic.
Credit— The Credit tab includes financial information for the account, such as the balance due in each aging bucket. This tab also includes a Charge Options section that you can set (for example, check allowed and taxable). The other section on this tab is Charge Controls. You can set controls for this account, including charge allowed and balance method. For information about a specific field, refer to the MCR field help topic.
Dept— The Department tab displays sales information by department and also total sales information for the current period, year-to-date, and last year. If you put a Y in the Keep Dept History field on the Main tab, the system tracks this customer’s purchases in each department by Net Sales (excluding tax) and Cost of Sales. (This information can be viewed on the Department tab of Customer Maintenance, and can be printed using the A/R Sales Analysis Report (RSA)). Note that the Department tab's grid allows you to use column filtering, and you can save a view of the grid that has a sort or filter.
Sales— In the Sales tab you will find total sales and cost information for the current period, year-to-date, and last year. This tab also includes finance charge and return amounts. For information about a specific field, refer to the MCR field help topic.
Payment— The Payment tab displays current payment information and payment history. This tab also includes balance information for each aging bucket. For information about a specific field, refer to the MCR field help topic.
Misc— The Miscellaneous tab includes a variety of information not found in the other tabs, such as social security number and birth date. This tab also includes a Lumber Options section. For information about a specific field, refer to the MCR field help topic.
Names— In the Names tab you will find a list of names authorized to charge for this account. Customer photos are optional. For information about a specific field, refer to the MCR field help topic. Click here for procedure information.
Notes— The Notes tab stores messages. The messages can be set up to display at POS in a message window. For information about a specific field, refer to the MCR field help topic. Click here for procedure information.
