Adding Fields to a Label Design

Epicor Eagle™ Labels for Windows users only.

  1. Display the label design to which you want to add a field.

  2. If the label design is locked, unlock it.

  3. Click . "New Field" displays to the left of the label design.

  4. Click New Field. Holding down the left mouse button, drag New Field to the desired position in your label design, then release the left mouse button.

  5. Double-click on New Field. The Field Parameters dialog displays.

  6. In the Data Field box, select the data field you want to be associated with this field on the label (such as SKU, Description, Retail Price, etc.).  If you're designing a CSV label, select the field number that corresponds to the field in the CSV file. For example, if the item description is the third field of the RQ routine, select "Field 3" when placing the description field on the label.

    1. If you select UPC as a field for your labels, a font size of 25 is a good starting point. You may want to print a test label and then try scanning it to make sure the scanner can read the UPC.

  1. Fill in the other fields in the Field Parameters dialog.  For a detailed explanation of each field, click here.

  2. Click OK.

  3. Save the label design to preserve the field(s) you just added.

To easily identify items with more than one location, include Location Indicator as a field on your labels. An asterisk (“*”) prints in this field if an item has more than one location.
