Epicor Eagle™ Labels for Windows users only.
In the Label Designer, the Page Setup Options dialog box displays when you click the "Pg Format" button on the toolbar. Below are some guidelines for filling in your Page Setup Options.
The Page Setup Options must match the paper or page size of your printer. You can enter a number with up to 3 decimal places. To check your printer's paper or page size, click Start, Settings, Printers. Right-click on the icon that represents your printer and click Properties. The paper or page size is indicated on the Setup tab.
If you intend to design your own page setup from scratch (rather than using the page setup of a pre-designed Epicor label), you will need a "Ruler" that measures in tenths of inches. You can purchase a Ruler from an outside source.
Use the Border button for adding a border around the entire page (i.e. if you are creating a sign). You cannot add a border around individual labels. For more information about adding a border, click here.
The Don’t Print Over Fields Below Wrapped Description field allows you to determine how wrapped description fields interact with fields below them when the labels are printed. It does not apply on fields to the right. Click the checkbox to truncate the long description field or leave it blank to overwrite the field below. This option is invoked only if a label has a description field that can be wrapped and has the options selected to be wrapped.
“Use number of copies” allows you to increase the performance of a “continuous form” printer that uses a roll of labels, such as the Zebra printer. Before using this feature, you must confirm that your printer supports the “copies” property.
(CSV label designs only) Use the guidelines below to fill in the last three fields in the Page Setup dialog box:
CSV File: This is the CSV file that will be associated with this label design (though you can always choose a different CSV file when preparing to print labels). If you want to associated the design with a CSV file on your PC, click , and browse to the appropriate file. If you want to associate the design with an RQ procedure, click
, and browse to the appropriate RQ file.
Quantity's Field # in CSV File: This field is used to identify which field in the CSV file represents "quantity to print." The "quantity to print" is then used to determine how many of each label to print for the current record. For example, if the third field in the RQ routine (or other CSV file) represents the quantity to print, enter 3 in this field.
SKU's Field # in CSV File: This field is used to identify which field in the CSV file represents the SKU. This is important if you want to print a "SKU Image" on the label. A SKU Image is a picture that is unique to that SKU, and that picture has a file name that exactly matches the SKU number with which it is associated.
