Setting Up a New QuickFind Grid

If you are setting up an image grid, the image files must be stored in the Userdata sub-directory in the 3apps directory.

To set up a new QuickFind grid

  1. From the POS window, click Tools, and point to Setup QuickFind.

  2. In the Main Group box, type a name for this main category of items. Note: do not use any special characters such as a period, comma, dash (-), plus sign (+), ampersand (&), tilde (~), etc.

  3. In the Sub Group box, type a name for this sub-category of items. Note: do not use any special characters such as a period, comma, dash (-), plus sign (+), ampersand (&), tilde (~), etc.

  4. In the Type list, click Text Items or Images.

  5. In the Description box, type a description for this Sub Group (optional).

  6. On the toolbar, click Add/Change (F5) to add the QuickFind grid.

  7. Repeat steps 3 through 6 to enter additional Sub Groups.

Text Setup

  1. In the Col Label boxes, type your column headings for this sub group.

  2. In the Row Label boxes, type your row headings for this Sub Group.

  3. In the grid boxes, type the SKU numbers associated with the column/row labels. Or click Viewer to display the Inventory viewer. Use the viewer to locate the item number.

  4. On the toolbar, click Add/Change (F5) to save your work.

  5. On the toolbar, click Next to display the next page of the grid, type the new column labels, and enter the SKU. Click Add/Change (F5) to save your work.

  6. If you are done setting up the grid, close the window.

Images Setup

  1. Click the image button that you want to set up.

  2. In the window that displays, enter the image information.

  3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for each image.

  4. On the toolbar, click Add/Change (F5) to save your work.

  5. If you are done setting up the buttons, close the window.

To print a QuickFind grid, click File and select Print Screen.
