Printing a Rain Check

You can print a rain check if you are temporarily out of stock on an item. The item(s) prints on the receipt printer, along with the price(s), the expiration date of the rain check, and the customer’s name.  This type of rain check is not saved by the system.

To print a rain check:

  1. In the Item (SKU) box, press menu.

  2. On the No Sale Menu dialog box, press 6.

  3. In the Good Until box, type the date the rain check expires.

  4. In the Phone box, type the customer’s phone number.

  5. In the Cust Name box, type the customer’s name.

  6. Press enter. The rain check prints on your receipt printer.

Tip

You can set the default number of days rain checks expire in the Default Raincheck Days field in Function MIV, Screen 2.
